WHAT IS A HANDPOKE TATTOO?
Handpoke is a traditional tattooing technique where ink is applied manually, dot by dot, using sterile single-use needles rather than a tattoo machine.

A tattoo machine can puncture the skin up to 150 times per second. Handpoke places each dot intentionally, using only what’s needed to create the design, giving a gentler healing experience and beautifully settled results.

Hi, I’m Icha — a Chilean visual artist and licensed graduate in Visual Arts, with over 10 years of experience as a tattoo artist.
I’ve tattooed in more than 20 cities across 5 countries, working with people from all over the world and developing a style deeply rooted in observation, nature, geometry, and storytelling through imagery.

Does handpoke hurt more than machine tattooing?
Many clients describe handpoke as feeling softer, less painful and more gradual than machine tattooing.
Is it safe?
Yes. All needles are sterile and single-use, and professional hygiene procedures are followed throughout every session.
How much does a tattoo cost?
The studio minimum is $160 NZD for simple tattoos up to approximately 5 cm.
Most medium-sized designs between 12 and 15 cm typically range between $250 and $350 NZD.
Can I request a custom design?
Absolutely. I´ll be happy to talk with you about your idea.
Can tattoos be done in color?
Yes. Designs can be tattooed in black or adapted using a variety of colors.
Is handpoke suitable for a first tattoo?
Definitely. Many first-time clients choose handpoke because of its calm and personal approach.
